MEEt the project playback founders


Colby Ellis

Colby is a junior at Kennebunk High School. He plays both trombone and piano in a variety of music groups, and is a member of the school's Tri-M (Modern Music Masters) service organization. He is a member of many different ensembles, including the school wind ensemble and Portland Youth Wind Ensemble. In addition to music, Colby is a co-captain on his high school swim team. Colby is also a successful student, web-master for Kennebunk's chapter of the National Honor Society and member of the school's math team. 


Jason ALbaum

Jason is a junior at Kennebunk High School. He has many hobbies, including swimming, saxophone, and this organization, Project Playback. He has been a member of the local YMCA's swim team for eight years now, and is going on his third year with the Kennebunk High School swim team, where he is a co-captain. He enjoys playing saxophone, with a preference for the tenor sax, but can play both the alto and baritone saxophones as well. Jason is in both the school Wind Ensemble and the school Jazz Band. He also occasionally participates on the school Math Team. When listening to music, Jason loves to listen to assorted rock and jazz.


Juli Ennis

Juli is a junior at Kennebunk High School. She is a percussionist and bassoonist, and performs in many ensembles, including the school wind ensemble, the Portland Youth Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra, and Sanford Marching Band and Indoor Drum Line. She is a member of the Tri-M service organization at Kennebunk High School. Along with music and school, Juli is an avid reader, and enjoys riding horses and skiing. She also is an animal lover, and especially enjoys spending time with her dog and two cats.
